25th Zeliang wrestling tournament held

KOHIMA, February 25, 2020: The 25th Zeliang Wrestling Tournament was conducted at Multi- Utility Stadium Old Saints Higher Secondary School, Old Peren Town on Tuesday with Advisor for Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Dr Neikiesalie Kire as Special Guest and Advisor for Nagaland Wrestling Association Pfuduolhou Lense as the Guest of Honour.

The Special Guest upon his arrival unfurled the Association Flag and in his short speech stated that in Nagaland only three tribes, Zeliang, Chakhesang  and Angamis  involve commonly in  wrestling and requested the association to promote and to inculcate the rest of Naga tribes in the coming endeavor.

He cited that if one has to be successful in the field of wrestling, he needs to work out for physical fitness to compete with others and further wished all the participants.

The programme was chaired by Technical Secretary ZWA, Keheipu Sephe. Presidential address was given by President ZWA, K. Mark Guing while Oath Administration was done by Vice President ZWA, Amos Pame.
