Zofate Mizo people from Israel meet Lalduhoma
An estimated 5,000 Mizos living in various areas of Israel

AIZAWL, January 29, 2024: Members of the Zofate clan (larger Mizo community) who have settled in Israel met with Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma in Aizawl Monday. They congratulated him on his party’s recent victory in the state assembly elections and his assumption of office.
The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude for their kind gesture, stating that the Zofate people living in Israel have always shown their love and support for Mizoram.
It is estimated that there are currently over 5,000 Mizos living in various areas of Israel, who identify themselves as 'Benei Menashe', one of the ten lost tribes of Israel.
