Yuva Vikash Kendra distributes relief for flood affected people

Will coordinate with district officers for further relief efforts

AGARTALA, September 03, 2024: Yuva Vikash Kendra in partnership with the Kamalnayan Jamunalal Bajaj Foundation has distributed relief materials to flood-affected families in Melaghar, Shepahijala District in Tripura Tuesday. The initiative led by Pinku Das aimed to provide immediate assistance to those affected by the devastating floods.

A team of volunteers including Pratima Debbarma, Sukanta Sarkar, Hema Chowdhury, Sebior Debbarma, Priti Saha and Diptanu Majumder worked tirelessly to distribute approximately 238 relief kits including Dry Ration, Milk for Children, Hygiene Kit and cloth for women and children.

Dr Arjun Das, MO IC Boiragi Bazar PHC, Swapan Kumar Das Chairman Nalchar RD Block, Pradip Das Pradhan Kamtali Gram Panchayat and journalist Partha Roy attended the event. Following the distribution Yuva Vikash Kendra representatives met with the district administration and nodal officers to coordinate further relief efforts and hand over relief items for other needy people.
