AGARTALA, September 08 2022: Queen Elizabeth II, the UK's longest lived monarch, died at her home in Balmoral, Scotland, Thursday. She was 96.
Nations of Commonwealth family and across the globe mourned the demise of the Queen who attained throne 70 years ago. With her death former Prince of Wales and the eldest son of the departed queen Charles became the King of the Great Britain.
New King attained name Charles III.
Staffs of the Buckingham Palace in London announced the decision by fixing a brief statement on the fence that read - ‘The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon’.
All Queen Elizabeth’s children, great children and senior members of the royal family travelled to Balmoral after doctors declared her condition critical.
