Two from northeast India in list 26 Arjuna awardees

NATIONAL, December 21 2023: Two athletes from Manipur, Naorem Roshibina Devi in Wushu and Sushila Chanu Pukhrambam in Hockey, have been selected to receive the Arjuna Award.
The Sports Ministry announced the nominations for the annual sports awards, which also includes the prestigious Khel Ratna honor for badminton players Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, and the Arjuna Award for 26 other sports persons, including renowned cricketer Mohammed Shami.
The awards will be presented by President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on January 9. The National Sports Awards are given every year to recognise and reward excellence in various segments of sports.
