AGARTALA, July 27, 2024: Tripura's 'Aamar Sarkar' web portal launched by Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has been adjudged as one of the five Best Practices in promoting good governance at the Chief Ministers' Conclave in New Delhi Saturday. The initiative got underway in November 2022 aims to address public grievances through an online platform exclusively for rural people.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers present at the conclave lauded the initiative, and is expected to be replicated in other state governments.
It allows complaints to be lodged online, mobile-applied and tracked. Field officers of 81 line departments in the state are responsible for resolving complaints within four days or escalated to senior officers.
Officials said once completed, the work is verified and certified by the Department Head before closure. Weekly village walks and 'Aamar Sarkar Day' are conducted to help identify issues.
In the last 21 months, 52,992 matters were raised by the rural people of the State, with 95% of them resolved.
