I-Day: 14 Tripura police officers and personnel to get CM’s medal

AGARTALA, August 11, 2025: 14 police officers and personnel have been selected to receive the annual Chief Minister's Medal in commemoration of Independence Day in Tripura. These officers have been chosen for their outstanding services and contributions in various fields while carrying out their assigned duties, a home department statement says Monday.

DIG Krishnendu Chakraborty will be receiving the medal for his exceptional work in crime and intelligence. Kanta Jangir and Jayant Karmakar will be are selected for their efforts in maintaining law and order.

Jeremiah Darlong will be recognised for his successful anti-militancy operations while Saugata Chakma will be commended for his anti-drug efforts. Several other officers will be awarded for their contributions in community policing, training and sports achievements.
