AGARTALA, August 03, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has announced that the state's first international cricket stadium in Narsingarh, near Agartala, is expected to be completed by December of this year. He emphasised the importance of keeping politics out of the game and commended the current committee of the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA) for their efforts in making this stadium a reality.
Speaking at an event in Kamalpur of Dhalai district Sunday, the Chief Minister criticised the previous government for ranking their own people over talented players. He also highlighted the change in government in 2018 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Chief Minister declared the state government's commitment to promoting talent and transparency in the selection of players, and accused the opposition of using party workers to create confusion among the people. Dr Saha announced plans for the construction of similar playing fields across the state.
