Tripura Secures 6-Wicket Victory over Nagaland

REGIONAL, April 25, 2025: Tripura clinched a convincing 6-wicket win over Nagaland in their group stage clash of the 1st NE Little Masters Trophy 2025 held at the ACA Cricket Academy Ground, Fulung, Guwahati. The win was powered by an outstanding bowling performance from Bihan Das, who played a key role in restricting Nagaland to a low total.
1st Innings – Nagaland: 72/10 in 30.1 Overs
Opting to bat first after losing the toss, Nagaland was bundled out for 72 runs at 30.1 overs. Eric Rupreo stood out with the bat, scoring a quick 25 off 21 balls, but lacked support from the rest of the batting line-up.
Tripura’s bowlers dominated the innings, led by Bihan Das, who delivered a remarkable spell of 4 wickets for just 7 runs in 6 overs, dismantling Nagaland’s top and middle order.
2nd Innings – Tripura: 74/4 in 15.1 Overs
In response, Tripura chased down the target in 15.1 overs, finishing at 74/4. The chase it was anchored by Sriman Debnath, who remained unbeaten on 34 off 21 balls ensuring a smooth finish despite the early loss of wickets.
Nagaland’s Eric Rupreo impressed with the ball as well claiming 2 wickets for 10 runs in 6 overs, the total was too low to defend.
