Tremor measured 4.1 on the Richter scale hits Tripura
Epicentre of the earthquake was located 7 km west of Agartala

AGARTALA, October 18, 2024: Agartala and several parts of Tripura experienced a medium intensity earthquake shortly after midnight (Friday). The tremor measured 4.1 on the Richter scale and was felt in both Bangladesh and northeast India.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake was located 7 km west of Agartala in Bangladesh.
The earthquake occurred at 12:13 am. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or damage to property.
