Joint mega ex-servicemen rally at the Rangapahar Military Station

REGIONAL, February 12, 2025: A joint mega ex-servicemen rally was held at the Rangapahar Military Station in Dimapur Wednesday organised by Headquarters Spear Corps. The purpose of the rally was to honour ex-servicemen, Veer Naris, widows and their families while addressing their welfare needs. 

The event was attended by over 1,300 ex-servicemen, 16 Veer Naris, 4 Veer Matas, and 33 veterans from various wars. Senior officials from the Armed Forces, State Government and Ex-Servicemen Associations were also present. 

Chief guests Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio delivered speeches acknowledging the sacrifices of ex-servicemen and outlining government schemes for their support. The event also included cultural performances, military displays, welfare assistance counters and distribution of medical devices to veterans.
