KOLKATA / AGARTALA, May 21, 2024: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) is accused of misleading people and creating division through spreading confusion, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is focused on developing all sections of society. Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has strongly criticised the TMC on various issues, including corruption and misrule.
He has actively campaigned for the Bharatiya Janata Party nominees for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, specifically promoting Dr Hiranmoy Chatterjee, the party's candidate for West Bengal's Ghatal Lok Sabha constituency. During his campaign, Dr Saha toured various areas in a long road show and addressed the crowd at an election rally.
He emphasised the importance of a strong Prime Minister and the coalition, which had been unable to announce a Prime Minister for five years. The state of the coalition has reached a point where confusion among the people is widespread, similar to the confusion seen in the “Sholay” movie with Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra playing lead roles.
Chief Minister stressed the significance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in addressing the current situation in the country. He also highlighted the recent by-elections held in Tripura and Buxnagar, which have a significant minority population.
Dr Saha also criticised opposition parties, particularly the Trinamool Congress, for spreading confusion and dividing the populace. He emphasized Modi's commitment to the progress of all citizens and his dedication to completing projects on time.
The rally was attended by top leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party, with thousands of workers and supporters participating in the event.
