Thirteen-member delegation from Bangladesh in India
Purpose Bangladeshi Exim cargo through ports on East Coast

SOUTH ASIA, July 11, 2024: The 13-member delegation from Bangladesh is currently on a visit to India from the 9 to the 12 of this month. The purpose of their visit is to evaluate the possibility of transhipping Bangladeshi Exim cargo through ports on the East Coast of India.
The delegation led by the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Shipping in Bangladesh includes representatives from other key ministries and ports in Bangladesh. The main objective of this visit is to gain first-hand knowledge of the technical feasibility, commercial viability and infrastructure facilities at Indian ports in order to assess their potential for transhipping Bangladeshi cargo.
Accompanying the delegation are officials from the Inland Waterways Authority of India, the Director General of Shipping and the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs.
