The owners make escape plan after fire engulfs Goa nightclub

NATIONAL, December 10, 2025: Saurabh Luthra and Gaurav Luthra, the primary suspects and owners of the Goa nightclub where a devastating fire resulted in 25 fatalities, reportedly booked tickets to Thailand shortly after being informed of the incident. 

The Goa police investigation revealed that the Luthra brothers purchased their tickets for Phuket at 1:17 am on December 7, while emergency services were still engaged in extinguishing the fire and rescuing employees at the nightclub 'Birch by Romeo Lane' in Arpora, North Goa.

The two brothers then took an IndiGo flight to Phuket in the early hours of Sunday. 

In the meantime, their request for interim relief was denied by a Delhi court, which listed their plea for anticipatory bail to Thursday.
