REGIONAL, August 24, 2024: The first semi-final of the Durand Cup 2024 between Shillong Lajong FC and North-East United FC shall be held in JN Stadium on August 26 for which preparation is in progress with the entire State Government Machinery involved.
The tickets for the match released yesterday, where the Phase 1 tickets, online sold out in less than 6 minutes. The counters for sale of tickets at Laitumkhrah, Polo and Police Bazaar continued offline Saturday.
An additional box office was set up at U Soso Tham Auditorium to support the sale of tickets.
The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills, the magistrates, and the Police worked in tandem with the respective Dorbar Shnongs to create a safe and conducive environment for fans to purchase tickets, who waited patiently to purchase tickets.
The match will be screened at the fan park venues. Live performances from the Meghalaya Grassroots Music Program (MGMP) and food stalls shall also add to the stadium-like experience of the fan parks.
Designated fan parks are Mawlai Madan heh (stadium), RV Lyngdoh parking lot (opposite golf retreat, Malki Ground, Umpling Maw-arling, Laitumkhrah Police Point Parking lot and NEHU campus.
Online redemption facility of tickets is available from 10 am on Sunday, August 25, which is facilitated at the U Soso Tham Auditorium. Further advisories on match-day movement and other matters related to the match shall be released by the Government from time to time.
All Durand cup matches are being televised live at SonyLiv OTT and TV channels - Sony Sports 2 and 3.
