Rubber tappers can apply for labour welfare schemes
Rubber Board’s regional offices will provide details of the schemes

KOTTAYAM, December 08 2021: The labourers working in rubber plantation sector can apply for financial assistance under the various welfare schemes implemented by the Rubber Board. The children of the labourers studying in 11th standard onwards are eligible for educational scholarships.
Students at graduation level should apply within four months after receiving the hall tickets of the examinations. Financial assistance will also be provided to workers to construct a new dwelling house in their own land.
The Rubber Board will also give a specific amount as medical reimbursement for the treatment of labours working in smallholding sector. Women tappers/ women workers in Group Processing Centers and their two daughters are eligible for financial assistance for their first marriage.
In addition, women tappers are also eligible for financial assistance for the expenses related to confinement and delivery. For more details, contact regional offices of the Rubber Board or Board Call Centre (Phone - 04812576622).
