CM slammed erstwhile CPI(M) govt for giving jobs on political affiliation

AGARTALA, July 31, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha Thursday criticised the erstwhile CPI(M) led left front government for distributing jobs through party offices based on political affiliation of the aspirants and stated that the present government is providing employment based on merit and through a transparent process. He stated that the state government has not followed divisive policies and has provided over 19,000 jobs so far in a transparent manner. 

Speaking at a programme, Dr Saha also accused the CPI(M) of trying to mislead the public with false statements and stated that since taking office of the incumbent BJP-led government, no employee has had to protest to press demands for Dearness Allowance (DA). He mentioned that the state government is working to reduce the DA gap with the Center and is working to increase HIV screening. 

He also mentioned that Tripura has all the necessary medical facilities with nine super-specialty services and asserted that nearly 90% of diseases are treated within the state. Dr Saha also mentioned that kidney transplant procedures have already begun in the state and that they are in the process of starting bone marrow transplant services.
