Plans to expand rubber cultivation to 20,485 hectares in Tripura
CM stated over 16,000 government jobs provided in last seven years

AGARTALA, April 11, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha announced plans to expand rubber cultivation to 20,485 hectares of land and establish 10 new rubber processing centers in the state. The announcement was made during a series of inaugurations of development initiatives in Khowai district, including the construction of the Teliamura Motor Stand and the virtual inauguration of three school buildings on Friday.
“The state government is also working to address the shortage of teachers and is recruiting qualified teachers through the Teachers' Recruitment Board”, the Chief Minister said in his speech.
Saha stated that over 16,000 government jobs have been provided in the last seven years since the government came to power. He highlighted the state government's focus on all sectors, including education, health and agriculture, and aims to provide even more jobs in the coming years.
The Chief Minister informed the construction of the National Highway (NH 208) from Khowai to Teliamura and the ongoing land acquisition work for the four-lane expansion of the National Highway (NH 08) from Mungiakami to Champaknagar.
The Bharatiya Janata Party-led government has consistently proven itself to be a people's government, with many promising projects included in this year's budget. The announcement is part of a wider effort to boost the economy and improve the quality of education in the state.
