Pickleball open tournament scheduled for August 16-17

REGIONAL, August 11, 2025: The Nagaland Pickleball Association (NPA) in collaboration with Pickopadel announced the Kohima Open Tournament 2025 scheduled for August 16-17 at the Akim Sports Centre, Kohima. With a prize pool of ₹50,000, this state-closed event will feature Men’s Doubles (Open) and Mixed Doubles (Open) categories, marking another major milestone in NPA’s mission to promote and develop Pickleball across Nagaland.

The Indian Pickleball Association in partnership with Pickopadel celebrates a proud moment with the Kohima open tournament played at Akim Sports Center situated at an altitude of 4,800 feet, making it the highest pickleball court in India. This development marks a significant step forward for the sport in the region and sets the stage for high-quality competitions.

In the lead-up to the tournament, the NPA is committed to creating an exceptional competitive environment for players. The event will bring together top talent from across the state, offering an exciting platform for athletes to showcase their skills in one of the world’s fastest-growing sports.
