Paralympic Bronze medallist receives warm welcome
Hokato Hotozhe Sema made history of sort by winning medal in Shot-put

REGIONAL, September 19, 2024: Hokato Hotozhe Sema, the first Paralympic Bronze medallist from Nagaland, received a warm welcome at Dimapur airport Thursday. The event was organised by Western Sumi Hoho and Frontal, with civil societies, NGOs, CNTC, tribal Hohos, students' bodies and people from all walks of life gathered in large numbers.
Sema was honoured for his dedication and for winning a bronze medal in the Men's F57 shot-put event at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games. He expressed his gratitude to the people for their warm welcome and support, stating that his goal had always been to win a medal for Nagaland.
Despite suffering injuries and being laid down with fever before the Paris Paralympics, Sema remained determined to win a medal for Nagaland.
He expressed pride in representing Nagaland and making history by securing a bronze medal in the international sports arena.
