RANCHI, June 24 2020 (HS): To mark ‘Olympic Day’, Blitz Chess Championship was organised by All Jharkhand Chess Association (AJCA) in union with Jharkhand Olympic Association (JOA) for the first time.
It is an online platform (chess.com) which was used to conduct a tournament, which attracted 109 players from all over the state. The tournament saw a tough competition for the championship where top three finalists tied at 7.5 each of possible nine rounds, as per a release.
All the three are registered under East Singhbhum District. FM Vatsal Singhania emerged as the winner on the basis of a tie-breaker followed by Abhishek Das and Rohan Vijay Shandilya.
The winners will be awarded cash prize which will be directly transferred to their bank accounts by AJCA.
