NOA holds meeting on upcoming Olympic & Paralympic Games
16 districts preparing to participate in state's biggest sports meet

KOHIMA, January 22, 2024: The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) held a meeting at its Games Headquarters in Chumukedima district Monday morning to discuss the plans for the upcoming Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2024, which will be held from February 12 to 17 across Dimapur and Chümoukedima districts.
The Games will feature 15 sports disciplines, including archery, athletics, basketball, boxing, cricket, football, lawn tennis and more. The 16 districts of the state are preparing to participate in the state's biggest sports meet, which will feature 161 medal events.
The Games will be divided into two phases, with accommodation, food, and logistics provided according to the respective disciplines' schedules. Certain sports disciplines, like football, will begin early to accommodate fixtures.
All sports associations and district teams are requested to submit 10 flags each, and the event will be broadcasted live to enhance its reach and visibility. The NOA appreciates the support and solidarity received from the people and urges cooperation towards the cause of youth, especially the arena of sports and games.
