Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s 125th birth anniversary

AGARTALA, January 23 2021: As per decision of the central government, Tripura celebrated birth anniversary of India’s independence hero Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as 'Parakram Diwas' Saturday.
Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath and Member of Lok Sabha Pratima Bhowmik paid floral tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at the central programme held at Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan here.
"The people of India fondly remember Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's unparalleled contribution to this great nation in his 125th birth anniversary. The Government of India decided to celebrate the 125th birth anniversary year of Netaji beginning from January 2021 in befitting manner at national and international level", said Pratima Bhoumik.
“Netaji personified valour, determination and sacrifice. He played an invaluable role in liberating our motherland from the yoke of British rule. The nation will forever be grateful to Netaji for his enormous contribution in India’s freedom struggle. My respectful tributes to the iconic freedom fighter and visionary leader, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary today”, said Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath in his speech.
Traditional colourful rally of Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan to commemorate birth anniversary of Netaji was suspended this year in view restrictions and guidelines owing to Covid-19. School authorities organised substitute programme in the school premises.
