Nazrul Sangha organises Laxman Chandra Roy

AGARTALA, February 08 2021: The late Laxman Chandra Roy Memorial Six out Night Cricket Tournament started on February 2 at the initiative of Nazrul Sangha based in Bishalgarh Madhya Laxmibil. A total of 16 teams from Bishalgarh and its environs participated in the tournament.
The final match of the tournament ended at the ground at Chhanpara, Madhya Laxmibil, Bishalgarh. Bishalgarh's two leading cricket teams Tasrif Seven Star and Chandranagar Boys Star competed in the final.
After winning the toss, Chandranagar Boys Star decided to batted first and scored a total of 92 runs for the loss of four wickets in 9 overs. Lakshan scored 20 runs, Shubhankar 24 runs and Sahil Sultan 16 runs for Chandannagar Boys Star.
On the other hand, Tasrif Seven Star collected the required runs in the art over for 1 wicket. Joy Kisan was awarded Man of the Match for the Tasrif Seven Star with 44 runs at bat and 1 wicket with the ball and Shafiqul plays a stormy innings of 22 runs. Guests handed over the Champions Trophy to Tasrif Seven Star.
The presence of spectators around the match was remarkable.
Abhijit Roy, son of late Laxman Chandra Roy, said that there is a proposal to organize more games in future.
