Measures aimed at enhancing socio-economic development of the state

AGARTALA, July 28, 2024: A meeting of Chief Ministers (Mukhyamantri Parishad) of BJP-governed states was held in New Delhi to discuss the progress and implementation of various government schemes. During the meeting, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha presented updates on various initiatives aimed at enhancing the socio-economic development of the state.
He highlighted the significant advances made under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), which have provided affordable housing to thousands of urban and rural households in Tripura.
Chief Minister also discussed the Jal Jeevan Mission that aims to ensure safe drinking water for every rural household. The Ayushman Bharat Scheme has made significant progress in providing health coverage to economically disadvantaged individuals.
The Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana has seen significant developments, with numerous rural roads being constructed and upgraded. The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi has provided financial support to farmers, promoting diversified and sustainable farming practices, Dr Saha highlighted.
The PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana has provided life insurance coverage to many citizens, ensuring financial security for their families, Chief Minister stated.
