Minister Mevar Jamatia tested coronavirus positive

AGARTALA, September 16 2020: Senior IPFT leader and state’s tribal welfare minister Mevar Kumar Jamatia has contracted coronavirus. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in his twitter handle gave the information Wednesday.  

Chief Minister in his tweet in Kokborok spoken by state indigenous population wished the minister a speedy recovery.

He would be eight MLA of the state to fall prey to the infection. Rest of the MLAs already recovered from the ailment.

Mevar Kumar Jamatia recently attended numerous programmes of his party IPFT and paid site visits for administrative reasons.
