ITANAGAR, February 04, 2025: The Department of Tourism, Arunachal Pradesh, partners with Miss India Organisation, Times Group, to proudly launch the breath-taking calendar "Rise and Shine in Arunachal Pradesh." This calendar pays tribute to the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh, India's first dawn-lit state at a spectacular launch event held at Dorjee Khandu State Convention Center, Itanagar.
The Times Group is collaborating with the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to showcase the state's beauty and appeal in various industries. Their first project involves the Department of Tourism, where they have created a calendar titled "Rise and Shine in Arunachal Pradesh.” This calendar highlights the state's natural beauty and features 13 beautiful images of Arunachal’s landscapes, complemented by the elegance of Femina Miss India winners.
The title symbolizes Arunachal Pradesh’s welcoming sun and the achievements of the Miss India winners, celebrating the region's culture and future.
The launch event began with ceremonial lamp lighting followed by speeches from various officials, including the Secretary of Tourism and the Governor. Key attendees included the Deputy Speaker, the Minister for Tourism and Actor Neha Dhupia as Guest of Honour along with other dignitaries.
The Minister for Tourism highlighted the collaboration's role in promoting Arunachal Pradesh's tourism, inviting travellers to enjoy the state’s warmth and traditions. An audio-visual presentation showcased the state's tourist attractions, and a cultural dance performance highlighted Arunachal's rich traditions, featuring several Miss India winners.
The Governor expressed his confidence that the calendar would reflect the cultural diversity of Arunachal Pradesh and enhance its tourism potential.
The calendar is designed to inspire wanderlust featuring locations across Arunachal Pradesh captured with the grace of the Femina Miss India winners. The team from the Miss India Organisation explored various cities in Arunachal Pradesh to create content that highlights its natural beauty and cultural richness.
Rohit Gopakumar from the Times Group spoke about their commitment to promoting Arunachal Pradesh by combining the power of femininity with the state's stunning scenery in this calendar. This partnership aims to increase tourism interest through videos and images showcasing the state’s landscapes, culture and heritage which will be shared across various digital platforms.
