Kidnapped Litan Nath remains untraced

AGARTALA, December 04 2020: A man who was kidnapped from his home in north Tripura a week ago remained untraced. Police could not trace out the kidnapped despite a vigorous search.
Litan Nath, 35, was kidnapped from his sleep at his residence at Joyram Para in Damcherra under Panisagar subdivision on November 28.
His wife told police that they were sleeping when some Hindi speaking men broke into the house and kidnapped her husband. The couple has four children.
She further claimed that the kidnappers before disappearing had demanded Rs 1.5 lakh to release Litan Nath.
Hundreds of local residents joined security forces in their frantic search to track down Litan. Police had detained three suspects, but set them free after questioning.
Investigators believe the kidnapped might have taken to a location in Assam.
