Kailashahar is set to become the second operational airport
Last airline to operate from now abandoned airport was “Vayudoot”

AGARTALA, September 05, 2024: Kailashahar is set to become the second operational airport in Tripura after being abandoned for nearly three decades. Tripura Tourism and Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, a small 20-seat aircraft will soon begin operating from the airport located in the headquarters of Unakoti district in north Tripura.
While preparations are currently underway, the minister did not disclose the specific flight destinations. It is expected that a northeast-based airline will be responsible for operating the flights.
The last airline to operate between Agartala and Kailashahar was Vayudoot, several years ago.
