India worried over fighting and worsening situation in Lebanon

MEA urged for respecting UN premises and safety of peacekeepers

NATIONAL, October 11, 2024: India Friday expressed concern over the worsening security condition along the Blue Line in Lebanon and has stated that it is closely monitoring the situation. The Ministry of External Affairs has also stressed the importance of respecting UN premises and taking necessary measures to ensure the safety of UN peacekeepers and their mandate.

In a recent incident, two UN peacekeepers were injured when an Israeli tank fired on a watchtower at a UN base. The UN has issued a warning regarding this violation, highlighting the escalating complexities of the regional conflict.
