NATIONAL, January 31, 2025: The Indian government has approved the participation of its 88-member contingent at the 9th Asian Winter Games (AWG) 2025. The games are scheduled to be held from February 7 to 14 February in Harbin, China.
The government has extended full financial support under the Assistance to National Sports Federations (ANSF) Scheme to athletes competing in Alpine Skiing, Cross-Country Skiing, Figure Skating, Short Track Speed Skating and Speed Skating (Long Track). This decision reflects India's commitment to promoting winter sports and providing opportunities for Indian athletes to compete at the highest levels in Asia.
