"Khelte Chai" caption adopted in an effort to promote sports

AGARTALA, June 09, 2024: The India-Bangladesh Sports Friendship Forum Sunday launched a new slogan, "Khelte Chai," in an effort to promote sports. During the forum's meeting Chief Advisor and Deputy Secretary of the Bangladesh Olympic Association, Ashikur Rahman Miku presented several proposals.
These proposals include organising a Peace Baton Rally, as well as events such as Handball, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Athletics, Table Tennis and Tennis in Tripura and various districts of Bangladesh. Miku also suggested organising the Tripura Bangladesh Games with the guidance of the Sports Minister.
In addition, the forum plans to hold camps with sports medicine experts in Tipura and other districts and Upazilas of Bangladesh. The meeting, General Secretary of the Comilla District Sports Association, Nazmul Hasan Farooqui, proposed organising a sports health camp and martial arts events in Comilla.
The forum's secretary, Sujit Roy, emphasised the importance of overall development of sports in Tripura and strengthening sports relations between the two countries. As part of this effort, a state team will be visiting Comilla in the near future to discuss various aspects of sports, including physiotherapists, doctors, sports specialists and a sports team.
The proposed Tripura Bangladesh Games are expected to play a significant role in the development of sports in the state.
