GLOBAL, June 16, 2024: India has emphasised a lasting and peaceful resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict through dialogue and diplomacy. The Ministry of External Affairs' Secretary (West), Pavan Kapoor, represented India at the two-day Summit on Peace in Ukraine in Switzerland.

India's delegation attended the Opening and Closing Plenary Sessions, but did not associate itself with any emerging communiques or documents. India's participation in the Summit and preceding NSA/Political Director-level meetings aligns with its consistent approach to facilitating a lasting and peaceful resolution through dialogue and diplomacy.

India will continue its engagement with stakeholders to contribute to efforts aimed at achieving early and enduring peace, MEA officials said.
