IIM launches a 5-day Management Development Programme
Aimed to boost Arunachal Pradesh’s Administrative Capabilities

REGIONAL, December 18, 2024: The Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Policy Research and Analysis, IIM Shillong, has launched a five-day Management Development Programme (MDP) for mid-level government officers in Arunachal Pradesh. The programme, which will run from December 16 to 20 2024 aims to equip 30 officers with the necessary skills and insights to improve governance and public service delivery.
The programme, led by Dr Sanjeev Ningombam, focuses on fostering innovation, efficiency and improved administrative practices in governance. DP Goyal, Director of IIM Shillong, emphasized the importance of integrity, initiative and a people-centric approach in the work of administrative officers.
The programme will cover topics such as leadership, project management, technology, digital transformation, and financial management. It will also focus on leveraging digital tools in governance, cyber security and data privacy.
The initiative demonstrates IIM Shillong's commitment to capacity building among government officials.
