REGIONAL, October 14, 2024: Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram is currently in Nagaland as part of the Prime Minister's initiative to send ministers across the country with a special focus on the Northeast.
Oram met Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio to discuss key projects like Eklavya Model Residential Schools and the National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation. He stressed the need for high-quality EMRS schools and entrepreneurship in Nagaland.
Meeting tribal communities in Zunheboto Monday, Oram aimed to ensure government schemes reach the grassroots level, addressing their concerns and reiterating the government's commitment to development. Visiting EMRS in Diphupar, Oram engaged with local vendors and artisans at Adi Bazar to explore ways to support economic growth.
This visit aligns with the PM's vision for ministers to engage directly with citizens, particularly in the Northeast, to advance national development goals. Oram will also inaugurate a community hall in Indisen village, highlighting the government's dedication to local community empowerment through infrastructure development.
