AGARTALA, April 28 2022: flybig is a scheduled commuter airline gaining traction in the country's Tier II and Tier III cities. It added another milestone to its journey to connect India's hinterland on April 22 2022.
It began daily flight services from Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata.
On this occasion, Captain Sanjay Mandavia, CMD flybig stated, "With regular daily flight services on this air route, it will take only 55 minutes to reach Agartala from Kolkata, compared to about 40 hours by road. I anticipate an increase in VFR (Visiting Friends and Relatives) demand on the flybig Agartala- Kolkata air route on account of the strong cultural and linguistic ties between people in West Bengal and Tripura." 
Regular flights from Agartala to Kolkata are scheduled to depart daily at 16:10 hrs, with air tickets starting at Rs 2999, which is equivalent to a second AC train ticket from Kolkata to Agartala costing Rs 2995. The flybig flight launch from Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata was a memorable occasion, with danglers and banners adorning flybig counters at both airports to commemorate the flight launch.
This debut flight from Agartala to Kolkata was a special day for flybig and the flight was flagged off amid applause and the distribution of sweets.
flybig daily to-and-fro flight service has expanded the number of flight options available to people in both cities who want to catch up with friends, relatives, acquaintances, or attend business meetings. The daily flight service Schedule for Agartala (IXA) to Kolkata (CCU), which started on 22nd April 2022 are as follow:
S9215 IXA-CCU Departure from Agartala at 16:10 hrs and Arrival at Kolkata at 17:15 hrs
S9216 CCU-IXA Departure from Kolkata at 17:45 hrs and Arrival at Agartala at 18:45 hrs
