Final match of West Zone Under-15 Cricket Tournament

AGARTALA, January 24 2021: The final match of the West Zone Under-15 Cricket Tournament was played Sunday at the Bhagat Singh Mini Stadium at Teliamura, Khowai district. The game got off to a good start and the players got acquainted with Kalyani Roy, MLA and the Chief Whip in the State Assembly.
The final match was played between Sadar Blue and Khowai districts. But due to dense fog Sunday morning, the umpire conducted the game in 43 overs instead of 45 overs. Dr Manik Saha, President of Tripura Cricket Association, Timir Chandra, Secretary of Tripura Cricket Association and eminent athlete of the state, Nandan Roy, Secretary of Teliamura Cricket Association were present in this final match.
Khowai won the toss and decided to bat first, losing all their wickets in 43 overs. Later, Sadar Blue went down to bat and lost only 3 wickets at 30.1 and scored the required runs i.e. 120 runs to win the title. Khowai won the district runners-up title.
Dipankar Bhatnagar played 6 balls and scored 57 runs for Sadar Blue. On the other hand, Devjit Saha, Samrat Das, Nirmoy Dev, Bedabrata Bhattacharya got 2 wickets each. Pranay Ghosh scored 36 runs off 72 balls for Khowai district. And Anirban Das got 2 wickets.
