Ex Tripura MLA Animesh Debbarma joins INPT

AGARTALA, March 15, 2020: Former MLA Animesh Debbarma has joined Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura (INPT) which ended his long isolation in state’s politics. Debbarma had launched Nationalist Council of Tripura (NCT), a party that literally existed only in some pockets of Khowai district.

INPT leaders informed NCT has also merged with their party.

Reports suggest that royal scion Pradyot Kishore Debbarman facilitated joining of Animesh Debbarma in the INPT.

The latest political development is seen as a workout ahead of elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
