Elvis Ali Hazarika shared his heartfelt message, stating, “I have completed 8 open water swims till now. Sponsorships are crucial for the channel swimming I do, and many promises often fall through. However, SM Developers and Managing Director & CEO of SM Developers Vikas Agarwal have been incredibly supportive. About 3-4 years ago, I approached Mr. Agarwal with my projects and channels. He reassured me, saying, 'You need not worry about sponsorships. Just focus on your practice; we are here with you.' One day, he called me and confirmed sponsorship for three channels- the North Channel, the English Channel, and the Bombay swim. Recently, they also supported my swim in Cape Town. Their assistance has been invaluable.”
Hazarika continued, “I am heading to Poland on the 3rd, and through various sources, Mr. Vikas has ensured I can continue my swimming endeavours. All my life savings have gone into swimming, and I am deeply grateful to Vikas, Bhaskar, and the members of SM Developers for their unwavering support. Their contributions have given me the push I needed, and I hope to stay connected with SM Developers in the future. I am committed to bringing glory to Assam and the country.”
In his upcoming expedition, Elvis will attempt to swim from Hel to Gdynia Babie in Poland. If successful, he will be the lone swimmer from India to have attempted and completed the swim in the Poland Channel, marking a significant achievement for Indian swimming and further showcasing his exceptional talent and determination.
