NATIONAL, November 10, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assessed the situation following Monday’s car blast in New Delhi consulting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah for updates. At least 9 people have died and dozens injured in the incident, which occurred at around 7 pm outside historic Red Fort, placing the entire country on high alert.
Home Minister Shah has reached out to the Delhi Police Commissioner, the Director General of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), and the Director of the Intelligence Bureau to evaluate the developments surrounding the incident.
The Home Minister has instructed teams from the National Security Guard (NSG), NIA, and the forensic department to promptly respond to the blast site and is maintaining ongoing communication with the Intelligence Bureau Director.
Prime Minister Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and leaders from various political parties have conveyed their condolences to the victims' families. In his social media update, Modi expressed his hope for the swift recovery of the injured and confirmed that the authorities are providing necessary assistance to those affected.
Defence Minister Singh described the event as "extremely painful and disturbing" and also offered prayers for the quick recovery of the injured.
Officials said they were ensuring support for those impacted in the blast.
