Daring theft at CBI office in Agartala, police arrest four
The thieves took away all furniture and stuffs from the office

AGARTALA, February 17, 2025: Police have arrested four youths for allegedly stealing furniture and belongings from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) camp office in the Shymali Bazar quarter complex. The theft occurred over a period of five months while the office was unattended.
The stolen items include ceiling fans, tables, chairs, an almirah, a plastic water tank, and electric equipment. The thieves also took wooden doors and windows.
The police said the arrested youths are drug addicts and most of the stolen items were recovered during raids on their hideouts. However, the electric equipment and wires have not yet been found.
The CBI camp office is located in the Shyamoli Bazar quarter complex, which is designated as a VIP area for housing official residences of top police and civil administration officers.
