AGARTALA, August 31, 2025: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has vehemently criticised CPI(M) for allegedly confusing people with a negative mentality and condemning abusive language used against the late mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He stated that the present government is working for the development of Janajati (indigenous) people and Janajati areas with an additional Rs 170 crore allocated to TTAADC in the 2024-25 Financial Year and Rs 860 crore sanctioned in the 2025-26 FY.
Chief Minister Dr Saha made the statement after listening to PM Modi’s 125th episode of radio programme at Mann Ki Baat at Asharambari of Khowai District Sunday. The area is most inhabited by the indigenous population.
Dr Saha stressed that the Mann Ki Baat programme was not a political matter but a bridge between the public and Modi. He also urged BJP Karyakartas to listen to the PM’s weekly radio programme and to build unity between Jati-Janajati.
Chief Minister criticised the RJD and Congress leaders for making derogatory comments against Modi's late mother stating that this is a direct attack on India's culture. He said that the present state government is working to develop health infrastructure, improve law and order, respect Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikya and provide quality education to the Janajati people.
