CM inaugurates synthetic football turf in south Tripura

AGARTALA, September 22 2021: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb Wednesday inaugurated first synthetic football turf at Chandrapur in Udaipur, administrative headquarters of the Gomati district, in south Tripura.

He also kicked off a match and distributed trophy to the winning team.

Chief Minister said that his government is committed to promoting sports in the state. “I am sure we will see more players from Tripura joining our national team in near future”, he asserted.

He opined that sport is a good medium that can be used to prevent the youth from engaging in drug abuse.

“It is joyful to see the young generation playing sports and developing their physical and mental strength”, he added and assured that Tripura government will soon inaugurate more such stadiums across the state.
