CM chairs meeting to make use airport IXH in north Tripura

Senior officials of the Airport Authority of India were in attendance

AGARTALA, May 27, 2025: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha Tuesday chaired a meeting with the officials of the Airport Authority of India on the operationalisation of the defunct airport at Kailashahar in Unakoti District.

Dr Saha, during his recent visit to New Delhi, met Union DoNER Minister and requested him for the speedy revival of the Kailashahar Airport (IATA code IXH).

He had also written a letter MDoNER Office and Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan on the matter.

Following this, a delegation of the Airport Authority of India visited the Kailashahar Airport for a survey and met the Chief Minister in a meeting, in which the officials elaborately informed him of the report about the airport.

In the meeting, M Raja Kishore, Regional Executive Director, North Eastern Region, and KC Meena, Airport Director, MBB Airport, Agartala, from the Airport Authority of India were present.
