Chief Minister visits cycle hit village in Sepahijala district
Assured storm affected people of all support and assistance

AGARTALA, April 01, 2024: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has assured to provide full support to those who have been severely affected by the recent cyclonic storms. He visited Lembutali village in the Kamalasagar assembly constituency of Sepahijala district, which was one of the hardest hit areas in the state.
During his visit Monday, he not only inspected the damage caused by the storms, but also spoke with affected families and reassured them of assistance. A massive cyclone struck the state in the early hours of Sunday, causing extensive damage to many houses.
Despite his busy campaign schedule for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Dr Saha made the decision to visit the affected areas.
He later stated, "I have discussed with administrative officials and instructed them to utilize the Disaster Management fund to assist the victims. They have been directed to visit the affected areas and provide necessary assistance."
Dr Saha also urged everyone to come together and support the affected people in this difficult time. Accompanying the Chief Minister on his visit were MLA Antara Sarkar Dev, other leaders, and officials.
