For the forthcoming 2nd North East Olympic Games 2022

KOHIMA, November 06 2022: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio Sunday ay officially released the playing kit and team jerseys of Team Nagaland for the forthcoming 2nd North East Olympic Games to be held in Shillong, Meghalaya from November 10 to 16.
The designs of the kit and uniforms have been designed and conceptualised by the internal design team of the Nagaland Olympic Association in collaboration with the design team of Kaki Marketing led by Kakivi Chishi.
The theme of Team Nagaland is #strongertogether and is exemplified the art price of renowned Naga artists Akup Buchem, who hails from Longleng district. The art piece is printed in the back of the Nagaland Track Jacket, is a depiction of Naga shawls tied in a knot and accompanies the message of Stronger Together.
Out of 18 sports disciplines in the North East Olympic Games 2022, The Nagaland Contingents will be participating in 17 sports disciplines, which includes: Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Cycling, Football, Golf, Judo, Karate, Lawn Tennis, Shooting, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Weightlifting, Wrestling and Wushu.
The models who displayed the uniforms for the release are sportspersons who have been selected to represent Nagaland in the North East Olympics. They are -
1. Shekhotolu - Badminton
2. Tovali - Badminton
3. Kisino – Table Tennis
4. Nodeto - Cycling
5. Seyievizo Kire - Basketball
6. Keheihingbe - Wushu
The team kit includes -
1. Track Suit
2. Travel & Semi Formal tee shirt, shorts
3. Competition uniforms of uppers and lowers
4. Training/Running Shoes and socks
5. Sports back pack
6. Sports trolley luggage bag
7. Sports Cap
Specialised sports disciplines like cycling, wrestling, etc have been provided separate kits and competition shoes. Spikes and shoes have also been provided for specialised events in athletics. Imported Cycles and kit have been provided for the cycling team and tennis rackets have been provided for tennis players.
The sports fraternity of Nagaland under the banner of the Nagaland Olympic Association wishes the team all success and calls upon the citizens of Nagaland to extend moral and prayer support to all the young athletes and spokespersons who will be representing the State.
