Chief Minister meets Governor Saturday night

AGARTALA, February 20 2021: Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb called on Governor Ramesh Bais at Raj Bhavan Saturday night amid speculations over possible expansion of council of ministers. The meeting lasted for almost an hour.
Before leaving Chief Minister Deb spoke to a large contingent of newsmen where he claimed to have made a courtesy call on the Governor. On expansion of the ministry, he said the issue was looked into by party’s central leaders.
Meanwhile IPFT staged a somersault a day after it signed an alliance agreement with the Tipraha Indigenous People’s Regional Alliance (TIPRA) over contesting elections to the TTAADC and other elections to be held in future.
Two senior IPFT leaders met Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarman at his official residence and discussed seat sharing issues. BJP state Vice President Rampada Jamatia was present at the meeting.
Chief Minister during his interaction with newsmen at Raj Bhavan hoped that his party’s alliance with the IPFT will remain intact in TTAADC elections.
