CBC joins observance of International Day of Yoga

The celebration was part of nationwide 'Yoga Sangam' initiative

REGIONAL, June 21, 2025: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) in collaboration with the Ramakrishna Mission, Shillong, celebrated International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025 with a special yoga session Saturday. Swami Vedeshananda Maharaj, Secretary of the Mission, highlighted the importance of yoga in harmonizing the body, mind, and breath, uniting the individual self with the universal self.

He emphasised the vision behind International Yoga Day, which has been endorsed by 175 countries. The event was attended by students, teachers, parents, NCC cadets, officials and members of the Ramakrishna Mission Shillong.

The celebration was part of the nationwide 'Yoga Sangam' initiative, which promotes synchronized yoga demonstrations across the country. A three-day Yoga Camp will be conducted at the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre from June 22 to 24 2025 free of charge and open to all.
