The NEZCC sets August 15 2025 as the deadline for entries

REGIONAL, August 01, 2025: The North East Zone Cultural Centre, Ministry of Culture, Dimapur has invited applications for Young Talent Artistes Award for the year 2023-24, 2024- 25 & 2025-26 from outstanding candidates in the categories of Folk & Tribal Music and Song & Dance, Theatre, Dance, Drama, Mime, Painting, Wood, Cane & Bamboo Crafts, Traditional Handloom & Handicrafts and Pottery. Young artistes and artisans in the age group of 18 to 30 years (as on March 31, 2023) are eligible to apply for the award.
The award consists of Rs 20,000, Citation and a Memento. It has been stated that the candidates should be an Indian citizen and indigenous to the eight North Eastern States - Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim & Tripura. Candidates who have received any such Awards (State/National) earlier in the same field are not eligible for the Scheme, NEZCC said in a statement.
Deserving artistes and artisans have been directed to collect the Application Form from the office of the Directorate of Art & Culture/ Cultural Affairs, Government of the concerned State or Shilpgram, Panjabari, Guwahati or Headquarter Office, Dimapur. The form has also been made available in NEZCC website https://nezccdimapur.org.in .
Screening of the applications will be done by the respective State Department.
Applications of the shortlisted candidates are to reach the Office of the NEZCC latest by August 15, 2025. No application will be entertained thereafter, the statement read.
