BSF and BGB play Maitree Football Match

AGARTALA, March 18 2021: A Maitree football match was held at Belonia BKI stadium under South district Thursday. Border Security Force, BSF is organising the friendly football match series in all six Frontiers of Eastern Command BSF to mark the celebration of 50 years of the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War.
This match is between BSF and BGB. The gallery of the stadium is full of spectators from side to side. Despite a tense 50-minute match, neither team was able to score. The match is drawn. Eventually both teams were declared winners. In a word, this football match ended with great enthusiasm.
The national anthems of the two countries were played after the officials of the two countries got acquainted with the football players of both the countries. Then pigeons and balloons were flown with the message of peace and friendship. Then the friendly football match between BSF and BGB started. Neither team was able to score a goal in this exciting match. Although both teams got a chance to score a few goals, the goal was lost.
The friendly football match was tense but neither team could score in the 50 minutes of the match and the authorities declared the team of both the countries as the winner. At the end of the match the trophy was handed over to the football players from both the countries.
After that BSF DG Rakesh Astana and Bangladesh BGB Regional Commandant Naroj Esan discussed the friendly relations between the two countries. The friendly football match was also attended by BSF ADG Pankaj Kumar Singh, Tripura Frontier IG Sushant Kumar Nath and various officials.
